Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time.
Job Description:
This job is essentially a community service and tutoring position focused on helping children improve in reading, math, and science while also supporting community programs.
Job Duties:
- Tutor students in reading, math, and science, especially students who need added academic support.
- Work with elementary, middle, and high school students, including at-risk students.
- Maintain tutoring materials and keep the tutoring area organized.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to student tutoring.
- Travel to different work sites using your own transportation.
- Ability to provide your own transportation to and from sites
Preferred Qualifications:
Patience and ability to work with children.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic reading, math, and science knowledge.
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a Site Coordinator.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
