About the role
OverviewPerforms phlebotomy procedures in accordance with standard policy and procedure guidelines. Draws blood from patients in a physician's office/clinic, or similar facility for analysis or other medical purposes
Responsibilities
Performs venipunctures, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required Required
- 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
- Experience working in healthcare Preferred
- None Required
- CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency Preferred
