About the role
OverviewUnder the direction of a Registered Nurse, sits with patients to provide a safe environment for individuals who need constant observation. The sitter will provide only basic care needed for activities of daily living and diversionary activities.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Necessary Skills:
- Ability to write/read in English.
- Knowledge of standard precautions.
- Ability to recognize emergency situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
