About the role

Part-time | 20 hours per week | Benefits eligible | Mon- Fri

The Rehab Aide works under the direction of a therapist or therapy assistant, supporting the productive operation of either the inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation program. Maintains and cleans the equipment/treatment areas, preps and inventories supplies for therapy sessions, assists with Joint Commission preparedness and completes clerical tasks as assigned. Assists with patient care as directed by the therapist which may include tasks such as transporting, transferring, lifting, stand by assistance of completion of exercises.

The UF Health Rehab Center - Magnolia Parke is a multidisciplinary center providing occupational, physical and speech therapy services, specializing in orthopaedic, vestibular, pain science, neurological and pelvic health conditions. We also provide aquatic and adaptive seating services. We are integrated with specialty physician clinics and ancillary services to provide comprehensive care. Our therapists collaborate in research and education that leads to improved care and quality of life for our patients.

Minimum Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Pursuing higher education within a clinical field and/or course(s) in allied health related subject(s) desirable

Experience

• Prior patient care experience in a health care setting desirable.
• Experience as a student, working or volunteering in a rehab setting preferred
• Computer skills and efficient use of Word and Excel.
