Coordinator Surgical | Orthopaedics Specialist Palm Coast Float | Full-Time | Days

About the role

Floating to all Locations: St. Augustine, Palm Coast and Nocatee

Under the supervision of the Healthcare Leadership directs, coordinates and facilitates the surgical scheduling activities of all clinic physicians. Utilizes appropriate administrative, financial and operational policies and procedures to facilitate continuity of care for the surgical patient. Acts as liaison between the department and other surgical and financial areas.

Required Education:
High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Education:
Completion of a Medical Terminology course preferred.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of specialty surgical procedures and associated acuity levels.
• Knowledge of specialized surgical equipment, ancillary services, and staffing requirements.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple scheduling needs and priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of one year of scheduling experience in a healthcare environment required.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience using an electronic surgical scheduling system preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications:

• CPC (Certified Procedural Coder) certification required within 12 months of hire or transfer.

Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
