Get to Know Your Team:
- Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
- Responsible for the planning, executing, directing and evaluating direct and indirect nursing care given to the surgical patient.
- The intraoperative nurse provides safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
- Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and the multidisciplinary team.
- The intraoperative nurse promotes patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient surgical workflows.
Job Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Current New Jersey Registered Nurse license.
- Evidence of continuing education in the field of OR nursing.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – or completed within 3 months of hire.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
