**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiation Therapist to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by oncologists, ensuring precise and safe delivery of therapy. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and position patients accurately for radiation treatment.
- Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with oncologists and medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Monitor patients during treatment for any adverse reactions.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments and patient progress.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Education and Experience
- Graduation from an AMA approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology or Radiologic Technology is required.
- Registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) is required.
- Licensure in Radiation Therapy Technology within the state of Maryland is required.
- Associate of Science degree in Radiation Therapy Technology is preferred.
- CPR certification is required.
- One year of clinical practice in Radiation Therapy is preferred.
