- Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situations
- Must be able to understand and measure pool water quality requirements; work with chemicals to assist with upkeep of pool water and cleanliness
- Ability to safely work with and store hazardous chemicals
- Must be mechanically inclined; verifying the equipment in the pump room is functioning correctly, ability to work in a loud environment
- Partner with Engineering/Maintenance regarding pump maintenance
- Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations
- Upon successful completion of training and become Certified Pool Operator or certified Aquatic Facility Operator.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills able to positively engage with Guests, team members and management
- Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
- Responsible, mature, energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedback
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Must pass respiratory physical and fit test for respirator.
- Frequent walking/standing/pushing/pulling
- Regular heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending/twisting and kneeling
- Frequent use of hands
- Must work outdoors getting wet in an open water environment, in all types of weather; sometimes exposed to extreme heat/humidity and/or cold.
- Vision and hearing must be normal range to conduct chemical color testing and hear the sound of guests and the team member.
- Previous experience in a Recreation or Resort environment
- Previous pool chemist or pool technician experience
- Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred
SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Resort operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 4:00 AM and vary as needed. Full-time requires full availability for any shift at any time, Sunday through Saturday.
